Injection foam insulation consists of a resin and a foaming agent also known as a catalyst. These materials are mixed at the job site to create a foam-like substance. Often, customers think of it as being the same consistency as shaving cream. It is injected in wall cavities using pumps to manage pressure as it finds its way around obstructions that traditional insulation would not be able to. 

The injection foam insulation starts to harden as the drying process begins, creating a thermal and air barrier within the wall cavity.
